Over Saaya I.
My name is Saaya, I am a Classical and Baroque Violinist based in the Hague.
I am Japanese raised in Spain, and I started Violin at the age of three.
Ever since I never stop making music, and I would like to share this joy with all the people who want to learn.
My lesson:
I teach in English, Spanish, and Japanese and students of all ages and levels are welcome!
Beginner, middle and advanced level, as well as preparation for entrance exams to Conservatory and support classes for official music schools.
I also have experience in preparing ABRSM (British system) level exams, just let me know your goal and we will work towards that!
We will work on the technical skills putting the focus in observing the body, in order to build a healthy relationship with the instrument. You will learn also how to practice effectively to overcome the difficulties to master that music piece that you love. The repertoire could be adaptable to your own taste, not only classical (jazz, tango, blues, soundtracks, etc).
If you love Chamber Music as much as I do, you are welcome to bring your own group to the lessons (I have a Clavinova at my place).
My background:
I received my Master of Performance at the Royal College of Music (London) in 2016, and right now I am doing a specialization in Baroque Violin at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. I have been taking part in projects with Orchestras such as 18th Century Orchestra (Netherlands), Theresia Orchestra (Italy), Spira Mirabilis (Italy), Cuban European Youth Academy (Germany), Academia Montis Regalis (Italy), Street Orchestra of London (UK), Euskadiko Orkestra (Spain), etc. I am also an active Chamber Musician and I perform regularly with Zaïre Ensemble and Ensemble Picander.
