Hi everyone, I am Rocío, a passionate flutist and teacher, and I would love to help you on your musical journey—whether you are just starting out or looking to enhance your flute playing.
I have a diverse background in music, having studied in Spain and the Netherlands, and I earned my master’s degree at Codarts University of the Arts three years ago under the guidance of renowned professors such as Juliette Hurel, Julie Moulin, and Wim Steinmann. Since then, I have had the privilege of performing as an orchestral musician while also sharing my love for the flute through teaching.
With over six years of experience, I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels—whether children, teens, or adults, and whether beginner or advanced. I have been teaching at Muziekcentrum Rotterdam, and I've also had the opportunity to teach in countries like Panama, Costa Rica, and Colombia. For me, teaching and performing are two sides of the same coin, and I can not imagine one without the other. I believe that the best teaching comes from experience, and that is why I love combining my performance career with my teaching.
Above all, my aim is to make every lesson enjoyable and meaningful. I want my students to feel motivated and excited about learning, and I tailor my approach to suit each individual’s needs and goals.
I’ve also had the privilege of learning from some of the world’s best flutists, which has broadened my perspective on musical interpretation. These experiences shape the way I teach, always encouraging students to approach music with both technical precision and emotional expression.
