Over Michele

I am an alumni from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, I come from Italy and I love international environments: I lived and studied in Milan, Copenhagen and Stuttgart! I play clarinet, bass clarinet and piano, and I am both a classical musician and a free improviser. I am fond of classical and contemporary music but I am also deeply interested in any kind of folk music from around the world!

I love teaching: my main experiences started three years ago with teaching piano and clarinet to kids from 10 to 17 years old, apart from a few adults. Nevertheless, I would be happy to integrate also theory and improvisation during a lesson with very curious students.
The duration of a lesson clearly depends on the age and the experience that the students have, I try to be very flexible with that and usually a lesson lasts around 1h.
I can teach clarinet and bass clarinet at any level, but usually I teach piano to beginners or amateurs
The most important thing is for the students to love music more than reaching a professional level!

My background is more than 10 years of classical music studies, as a clarinet and piano player.
I have studied three years of composition and, in 2014, I have graduated with maximum evaluation from the Classical Clarinet Master in the Milan Conservatorium.
Since then I started a journey in improvisation and contemporary music, that eventually brought me here in Amsterdam.

Nowadays I mostly perform as solo player and in free improvising ensembles, but in the last few years I have had many experiences in playing in small chamber music groups such as duo, trio and quartet.

I am looking forward to meet you for a trial lesson soon!
