Over Carla
My name is Carla and I am a passionate cello teacher. Since I was a child, music has been an important part of my life. I started learning music when I was 4 years old and cello when at the age of 6.
I discovered the love for music and that is what I share with my students. I founded my own Teaching Studio, Pandora Studio, in The Hague where I have around 20 pupils of all levels and ages.
In my lessons we will:
- Get to know each other and choose the best teaching approach. What motivates you? Which music do you like?
- If you are a complete beginner, we will learn to read the notes. In the first lesson you will already be able to play a few songs!
- Work on cello technique in a relaxed and natural way to be able to express yourself and avoid injuries.
- Play your favorite songs- all styles are welcome- combined with cello methods.
- With young beginners: we will play cello games during the lesson to make the learning experience dynamic and fun! Children can lose attention and get bored very quickly!
- Prepare auditions.
- Play duos together.
- Perform regularly in public with the option of playing with a pianist.
You don’t own a cello? You don’t need it for the trial lesson. After, I can help you get one!
About me…
My name is Carla and I come from Barcelona. I studied my Bachelor in Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, with Professor Amparo Lacruz. Then, I decided to continue my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the class of Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota.
During my studies in The Hague, I did a teaching internship in the Royal Conservatory as a part of their Minor in Music Education. I also taught in several Music Schools during my studies in Spain. Currently, I teach private students in The Hague.
I combine teaching with a chamber music career. With my ensemble Trio Jakob, I have been awarded multiple times in International Chamber Music Competitions and perform regulary in important venues among Europe.
