Over Bertram Hasselager

Hi future student!

My name is Bertram, and I’m here to help you achieve your goals on the guitar!

With 19 years of experience, I’ve developed easy-to-follow systems that make learning guitar both enjoyable and effective

Each lesson is tailored to where you are on your musical journey and what you want to achieve. Whether you dream of playing a song at a friend’s birthday, building a following on social media, or preparing for conservatory auditions, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I’m deeply interested in psychology, and I draw inspiration from that field to help you stay motivated, understand concepts more easily, and build a practice routine that fits you — all while keeping it fun, of course.

Over the years at various music schools and during my conservatory studies, I’ve often found myself feeling stuck in repetitive patterns or unsure of what to work on next. I’ve since found ways to break through that, and I’d love to help you do the same.

Depending on your goals and level, we can explore topics such as:
• Ear training
• Vocabulary (licks, phrases, and stylistic language)
• Fretboard knowledge
• Chord melody
• Accompaniment techniques
• Music theory
• Improvisation
• Getting started with the guitar
• Breaking out of feeling stuck
• Songwriting

If any of this resonates with you, I’d absolutely love to meet you and be a part of your musical journey.

Before moving to the Netherlands, I attended the Danish pre-conservatory program MGK, where I spent three years studying with some of Denmark’s most prominent musicians. During that time, I was actively involved in the jazz, blues, and hip-hop scenes in Copenhagen and Roskilde — playing in various projects and regularly joining the local jam sessions.

In addition to performing, teaching has always been something I truly enjoy. I’ve mentored students preparing for conservatory auditions, worked as a gue...
