Over Anna S.
Dear students, My name is Anna and I am 22 years old. Currently, I am studying first year of the Master in classical flute. I started playing the flute when I was 6, and since then, the world of music has become my whole life. I consider myself such a lucky person since I have the opportunity to devote my life to my passion, which is playing the flute. After finishing both music degrees (in Spain and in The Netherlands) and being started the Master, I am very happy for being able to share with people everything I feel when I play in a concert as a soloist, in some ensembles like symphony orchestras, wind bands, in chamber music…, Only us, musicians, are capable of making feel others what we want to express with no words. That’s why I love music.
For that reason, I feel the need of teaching to my students how to transmit their kind of things. I want to teach them how to enjoy music as much as I do playing the flute, to make them liking what they are doing. Learning music is a really funny and dynamic way to keep our minds “alive”. My method of teaching is adjustable to every person, since we are all different. It also varies depending on age and level of the students, but always focusing it on a clear purpose: having fun and enjoy as much as possible while learning.
I also believe that a good teacher needs to be “in shape” as a player, always willing to learn more and keep developing our professional domain. That’s why after finishing my studies I decided to stay in Maastricht to keep studying with Philippe Benoit (flute teacher in Maastricht conservatorium) and Valerie Debaele (principal flute on the Symphony Orchestra of Liege). And I also do a lot of concerts with my chamber music groups, with some symphony orchestras and as a soloist.
I look forward to meet you at the trial lesson and if you like it you can follow my lessons every week!
