Hello, my name is Anna and I am a Hungarian cellist and viola da gamba player. I came to the Netherlands 6 years ago to study early music at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I come from a musician family and started to play the cello at the age of 5, so music was always my life. I have grown up playing music with my family members, later with my friends and colleagues, and this stayed the most important part of my profession: I love sharing music and playing with other people.

I also studied special needs education and speech therapy in Hungary - education and working with children is an important part of my life. In my music lessons, I combine my musical knowledge with the my pedagogical and development psychological knowledge. Every child (and adult) is different, they learn in their own way, in their own tempo - so the way how I teach them has to accommodate to their personality.

I like cooperating with the students - we discuss what kind of music they like, what their goals are and what they would like to get from the lesson. As a musician, I find performing very important as well. I have concerts regularly, which not only helps me keeping my technical skills up to date, but gives me the joy of sharing my music. As a teacher, I try to give this opportunity to my students, organizing small house concerts, group lessons and performances.
