No matter if you're just starting or want to develop your skills, I am here for you, offering trumpet, piano, theory, solfege and improvisation lessons! We will discuss what your goals are and adapt our lessons towards them even if you're just starting or already playing for some time.
Personalised lessons
After years of teaching experience, I have constracted my lessons to be very personalized and focused on each of my students personally, because I find it to be very important that the student feels heard and stay motivated. Personalised lessons means that according to the student's interests and chosen subject, I provide guidance to develop a strong foundation, enhance the strengths and develop the weaknesses of each student. The goal is for the student to be able to understand the music and be able to play with people or by themselves comfortably.
Instrument course
In an instrument course I work in the following way: first we learn how the instrument works and through exercises we develop the "muscles" necessary to play a student's favorite song. In the process we learn our strengths and weaknesses and by breaking them down, I give you guided exercises to develop them. My goal is for the student to be able to play the music they listen to, as well as discover things they didn't know they love.
Theory and solfège course
In a course for theory and solfege my strategy is the following: We work on the piano and on paper and we let the world of music unravel slowly: from learning how to write notes, to intervals, chords, harmonic functions and analysis. We discover how our ears respond the specific stimuli, and how math and physics are intertwined with music (only for the geeks who are interested of course:P)
Stage experience
I have played with various bands like Louis' Swing Orchestra, Amsterdamse and Utrechtse Studenten Big Band, the Brazilian Big Band of Codarts and Las Hienas and various projects across NL and Greece and I have a lot of experience with jazz, pop, latin and Brazilian music.
