Hi there! I'm Emilio, a saxophone and clarinet player. I teach students with different levels and motivation. So I adapt my lessons to different needs and characteristics of each student. I use different stiles repertoire (classic, jazz, choro, klezmer, blues, rock), depends of their interests. I work with the students at instrument technique, musical style and improvisation. I like to approach the repertoire in several ways: historic, stylistic, creativity,... We will always be making music and hopefully enjoy every single lesson.
Emilio is an eclectic jazz musician. His musical career is closely related to classical, latin, klezmer and theatre music. With different projects, Emilio has performed at festivals, theaters and clubs in more than 20 countries in Asia, Europe and America: North Sea Jazz Festival, Taichung Jazz Festival, Delft Jazz Festival, Jazzolontia, Lowlands Paradise Festival, Siena Acquaviva Festival, Polar Night Jazz festival...
Emilio Parrilla Garcia-Pelayo finished Musicology and musical pedagogy in Granada University, as well as he studied two years the bachelor classic clarinet in “Victoria Eugenia” Conservatory from Granada (Spain) . He traveled to the Netherlands and he finished his Bachelor in Jazz music in The Hague Royal Conservatory. In 2014 he graduated for his master studies in the same conservatory.
As educator Emilio Parrilla has a experience of 15 years. He has taught in different musics schools, courses, private lessons and workshops in Spain, the Netherlands, Korea and Taiwan: Estepa Elementary Conservatory "Diego de Salazar"; Universidad Complutense Madrid; Conservatorio profesional de Huelva, Cursos internacionales de interpretacion Eduardo del Pueyo, Taichung National School.
